However, the overall Enterprise SSD market still lost out to the impact of the falling price of NAND Flash, with revenue falling to $5.22 billion (about 36.592 billion yuan) in the third quarter, down 28.7 percent from the previous month.

CTOnews.com learned that the top five global enterprise SSD brand makers by revenue in the third quarter of 2022 were Samsung (Samsung), SK & Solidigm (SK Group;SK hynix & Solidigm), Western Digital (WDC), Micron (Meguiar) and Kioxia.

SK Group's third-quarter revenue declined to $1.21 billion (about 8.482 billion yuan)

Western Digital has focused on Enterprise SSD product development since 2021, with third-quarter revenue of $670 million (about 4.697 billion yuan)

Micron's third-quarter revenue fell to $660 million (about 4.627 billion yuan) as server OEM demand was slightly revised down in the third quarter.

Kioxia PCIe 4.0 began to expand in the third quarter, and demand for SAS interface products remained stable, with revenue of $560 million (about 3.926 billion yuan).

Looking forward to the fourth quarter, TrendForce Group Consulting said that the economy continued to be weak, companies began to rein in related basic equipment spending, and Server OEM inventory levels began to rise. In order to eliminate inventory, purchasing momentum is also significantly revised. With the rapid deterioration of the overall oversupply of NAND Flash, the average contract price of Enterprise SSD is expected to decline by more than 20% in the fourth quarter, and Enterprise SSD revenue is expected to fall by more than 20% in the fourth quarter.
