Having a Nintendo commercial license is rare, but for unlicensed games, it could mean the consequences of being completely shut down. Panda's announcement caused concern among the organizers of the "big fight" folk competition Smash World Tour (hereinafter referred to as SWT).

Although SWT is a folk event, it can be said to be quite large after years of support and development from community players. Last year, they organized more than 6400 offline competitions, with 325000 participants, and have the highest prize pool in the history of the "big fight" event, which is worth 250000 US dollars. This year, the prize pool is expected to exceed 350000 US dollars.

After Panda became the only authorized player, they thought SWT would be shut down immediately, but Nintendo showed an enlightened attitude after contacting Nintendo, according to the SWT announcement. Although they couldn't get a commercial license in time, organizers continued to organize SWT according to Nintendo's friendly attitude, but on Nov. 23, less than three weeks before the competition was officially held, they communicated with Nintendo again, and Nintendo said directly that SWT could no longer be held without a commercial license. Whether this year or next year, Nintendo cannot guarantee that they will get a commercial license, nor can they disclose the reasons or details.

Nintendo's decision was difficult for organizers to understand, but they did not forget to make a final "struggle". They asked Nintendo whether SWT could continue to hold the event "pretending nothing happened" even without a commercial authorization, and reminded Nintendo that banning SWT now would cause a series of waves, including direct losses to contestants and organizers, but the response was still merciless denial.

When the SWT suspension notices of 2022 and 2023 were issued, people's disappointment and anger followed. They soon learned about a series of actions of Panda and Alan, and after being confirmed by relevant industry insiders, some "big fight" contestants immediately said that they would never take part in any so-called Nintendo-authorized competitions or competitions held by Panda.
