CTOnews.com, December 5, China Taiwan Economic Daily said that there is market news that HTC is considering listing several profitable virtual reality (VR) units in the United States in order to raise more capital and expand the influence of the brand, which is expected to make progress next year and the year after next.

In response, HTC said it would not comment on market speculation and stressed that HTC is committed to expanding the meta-universe ecosystem, with partners covering telecom, art, education, entertainment and other fields, and a new generation of VR products is expected to be released in the first half of next year.

CTOnews.com learned that HTC conducted a round of corporate transformation and restructuring last year and started seven business groups in one fell swoop, including VIVE Systems, VIVERSE, G Reigns, HTC smartphones and smart devices, VIVE Arts, VIVE ORIGINALS and DeepQ, with VR-related groups accounting for the highest proportion.

In June this year, international giants such as Meta, Microsoft, Nvidia, Qualcomm and other international giants formed a "meta-universe standards forum" in an attempt to preemptively formulate meta-universe industry standards, and HTC did not want to lag behind and joined them before most enterprises responded.
