CTOnews.com, December 4 (Xinhua)-- after Nomura and Morgan Stanley revised iPhone shipments, UBS cut its forecast production of the iPhone 14 series in the second half of this year from 92 million to 76 million units on December 2, according to Taiwan's Economic Daily.

CTOnews.com has learned that overall iPhone production is in solid demand for entry-level and high-end iPhone models, and UBS expects overall iPhone production to reach 53 million units in the third quarter, up 9 per cent from UBS's previous forecast.

In addition, UBS expects overall iPhone production in the fourth quarter to be 74 million units, 15 per cent lower than UBS had expected, due to Hon Hai's poor supply and weak demand for iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus.

According to Taiwanese media, UBS expects overall iPhone production to reach 230 million units in 2022, the same as last year; it is expected to produce 53 million units in the first quarter of next year, down 29% from the previous quarter and 10% from the same period last year.
