Fill color is a tool that directly increases the hue, and can be converted into any desired hue on the basis of any color.

In this tutorial, we give two examples:

1. Modify the color of portrait clothing

We changed the red skirt to blue.

First, use the Quick Selection Tool to select the dress. The Color Range tool is not recommended here, because the highlight color and skin color on the skirt are very close and cannot be very accurate.

Select Fill under Edit

Select "Color" and then draw the color you want to fill.

Select "Color" mode, because it can naturally fill colors, retaining the details and brightness of the picture itself.

After filling, it becomes like this, but this may not be the final effect you want, so you can continue to fine-tune it based on this.

First select the adjustment tool to create the adjustment layer, here I select the "curve" and "saturation" tool, and then press "ctrl + Alt", copy the selection of the fill layer to the adjustment layer, so that there is no difference between the selection. Then use the Curve tool to adjust the shade of blue and the Saturation tool to reduce the saturation of blue.

This is the contrast effect before and after adjustment. This kind of substitution on hue is not easy to do with other color matching tools. You can't get any desired color with the "hue" function in the "hue saturation" tool, so "fill color" is a very direct and quick method.

II. Modify the color of scenery snow mountain

We transform plain light into golden sunshine.

Use the Color Range tool to select the gray color of the rock. Because there are shaded areas on the rock, the shaded areas cannot be filled with colors, otherwise it is illogical, so it is difficult to avoid the shaded areas with the Quick Selection tool.

Select Fill under Edit

Select "Color" for the content, then draw yellow.

Mode selection "Color," because this can naturally fill the color, retaining the details and brightness of the picture itself.

After filling, you can continue to fine-tune on this basis. Since the yellow part of the screen at this time only snow mountains, so do not need to copy the selection, as long as through the "optional color""hue saturation" and other tools to do fine adjustment of the color channel on the line.

In addition to the above "fill color" case, you can also modify hair color, lip color, landscape photography can change the sky color, plant color, water color and so on.
