Why do soap bubbles explode easily? If you just blow with water, you can't blow bubbles all your life. But as long as you add soapy water to it, you can blow a spherical bubble.

This is because there is a molecule called surfactant in soapy water, specifically a substance that is soluble in water and can significantly reduce the surface energy of water. In addition to soapy water, there are also surfactants for all kinds of cleaning, emulsifiers, lubricants, Solubilizers, etc.

The molecule has unique ends, one end is a hydrophilic polar group that can stick to water all the time, and the other end is a hydrophobic polar group that doesn't like to stick with water.

A bubble is like a ball made of a thin film, which has two sides, one facing outward, connected to the atmosphere, the other facing inward, and connected to the internal gas.

GROSSE added some organic polymers, such as polyvinyl alcohol or polyoxyethylene, to the bubble solution to increase the stickiness of the bubble, creating a super soap bubble with a diameter of more than 60 centimeters and a volume of 100 liters that did not explode for more than two years. But the premise is clear, there is no disturbance from the outside world, and such bubbles have to be made in the laboratory.
