In the decades since then, there has been a history of rapid development of mobile phones, and there have been many kinds of smart phone systems, such as Symbian OS, Andriod OS, Windows Phone, iOS, Blackberry and so on. But we don't need to be sentimental, because the development of technology seems endless. Look around us, our mobile phones are getting smaller and smaller, but also becoming smarter and smarter. The charging time is getting shorter and shorter, and the use time in the working state of high power consumption is getting longer and longer, which makes our life more and more convenient and our work more and more efficient.

Today, Android and iOS are perhaps the most common mobile phone systems that accompany us in our daily lives. But today, Xiangning doesn't want to talk about the smartphone system, but wants to sort it out with everyone who often gets tangled up, or brings the wrong phone charging cord.

All kinds of mobile phone charging lines may have this question, why is our mobile phone charging cord interface changing all the time? Why don't iOS and Andriod phones use chargers with the same interface?

In fact, the development of mobile phone charging line is closely accompanied by the development of smart phones. The change of charging line is also due to the increasing demand for a variety of functions such as the function and charging speed of mobile phone charging line. Now the mobile phone charging line is no longer a "rookie" with a simple charging function, but has gradually grown into an "old Youtiao" with all kinds of information transmission functions.

Back to the interface of smartphone charging line, at present, the most commonly used interfaces are Micro USB interface, USB Type C interface, Lightning interface; before, there are Mini USB and Dock interface. We also want to make it clear here that these names are only the definition of the shape of the interface, and the functions that can be implemented need to be discussed separately.

This interface is popular because it has only one side of the anti-plug function that can be plugged in correctly, although the device was later considered a hassle. In addition, it is relatively small and widely used in early mobile phones, card readers, MP3, digital cameras and mobile hard drives. The upper limit of the charging power of this interface is about 20 W, and the charging speed and efficiency are relatively general. In the end, because of the poor performance, Mini USB gradually lost the market; now, except for an old mobile hard drive, Xiangning can no longer find the opportunity to display the talents of this charging line.

2the emergence of Micro USB Micro USB interface is due to the new USB standard that was born in 2007, and almost all Android phones adopted this interface before the advent of Type C. At that time, Nokia's mobile phones used this kind of data cable to transmit information, of course, the charging port is still the small round hole. This interface is a portable version of the USB 2.0 standard and can only be inserted on one side. Compared with Mini USB, Micro USB is smaller, has a longer service life, and supports OTG function. It is compatible with USB1.1 (low speed: 1.5Mb / s, full speed: 12Mb / s) and USB 2.0 (high speed: 480Mb / s). The transmission rate is also greatly increased. However, this kind of charging interface can not withstand large current, and the maximum charging power is about 40W, so as the demand for fast charging increases, Micro USB is doomed to come to a dead end.

3Jing USB Type C interface Micro USB is already very good, so why does USB Type C have the potential to completely replace Micro USB? This is because, with the development of science and technology, Micro USB not only can not meet the demand for fast charging of large-capacity batteries, but also difficult to keep up with the data transfer rate of USB 3.1. To put it bluntly, Micro USB is OUT in terms of technology and sense of use. The USB Type C interface can implement the USB 3.1standard, and the transmission speed is as fast as 40GB / s. Of course, there are Type C of USB 3.0and Type C of Thunderbolt3, etc. Moreover, it can be plugged in front and back, and it is more convenient to use; the charging power limit of this line can reach 100W, which brings us closer and closer to the small goal of "charging for five minutes and talking for two hours". Therefore, at present, USB Type C has gradually become the mainstream interface type on mobile devices.

4Dock interface, remember? From the birth of the first iPhone in 2007 to being called the most classic iPhone4s in the history of iPhone mobile phones, it took only 4 years for the 30 pin Dock interface to be forever engraved on the monument of history. Because of its large size and low transmission efficiency, Apple enabled the brand-new 16pin Lightning interface since the release of iPhone5 in 2012.

5Jing Lightning interface Lightning interface is still the Apple device dedicated data line designed by that maverick Apple, and they have also applied for new utility patents and appearance patents, which is the mainstream interface of Apple phones at present. This kind of interface is not only small and cute, another advantage is that the front and back can be easily plugged in, so it is very convenient to use. Moreover, this double-sided pluggable design is one step ahead of USB Type C. Until now, Apple's phones have been using the Lightning interface for nearly nine years now.

The charging power of the Lightning charging cord is not very high. After all, the upper limit of fast charging supported by the iPhone is about 20W. As for the data transmission speed of the Lightning interface, it is almost still in the age of USB2.0, and the specific speed is about the same as 25MB-35MB/s, which is comparable to that of USB Type C.

However, careful friends should also find that as early as iPad Pro 2018, MacBookPro and other products, Apple has adopted the Type-C interface instead of the Lightning interface, which should be due to the right to use patented technology. In fact, it is almost self-evident who is fragrant in the end.
