CTOnews.com news on December 3, Linux Mint official website issued an announcement that it has started testing of Linux Mint 21.1 Beta ISO images, and it is expected that the link will be downloaded publicly in the near future. Flavor versions such as Cinnamon, MATE and Xfce are also being tested and should be released in the near future.

Clem Lefebvre, head of the Linux Mint project, said Linux Mint 21.1, codenamed Vera, would be launched around Christmas. Lefevere is now inviting community members to test the Beta version in order to fix the existing BUG in the coming weeks.

CTOnews.com learned that the Linux Mint project has not yet announced the Beta version on its blog, but an announcement is expected soon once the ISO image passes the test. For most people, it's not worth using the Beta version unless you really want to try.
