CTOnews.com Apple TV+ has renewed the psychological thriller Surface for a second season, with the protagonist relocating to London to uncover more secrets from the past.

CTOnews.com has learned that Surfacing follows Sophie (played by Gugu Mabata Law, who is also the show's executive producer) who suffers extreme amnesia after a suspected suicide attempt. The first season sees her trying to uncover and learn about her true identity, while in the second season she travels to London and further reminisces about her past.

Veronica West, creator of the series, said: "This is really a brand new chapter, set in a brand new world. We explore a bold, fearless Sophie in season two."
