CTOnews.com, December 3 (Xinhua)-- Nomura analysts said in a memo to customers on Monday that Apple's iPhone 15 model, which will be launched next year, will be more "balanced" on standard models and Pro models, and Apple will avoid biased Pro models like the iPhone 14 series.

Nomura analysts said that the revenue share of high-end Pro models in the iPhone 14 series was between 65% and 70%, while sales of standard models were weak, resulting in a decline in overall shipments. In the upcoming iPhone 15 models, Apple will further adjust the configuration and combination of these models to make them more balanced.

Analysts also say Apple will further widen the configuration gap between standard and Pro models in the iPhone 15 series, and hopes to push more consumers to upgrade to iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus models.

CTOnews.com learned that analysts also highlighted the following in the memo:

1. IPhone 15 standard model will also be equipped with smart island function, with round and pill punched LTPS OLED screen, iPhone 15 is 6.1in, iPhone 15 Plus is 6.7in.

2. The master photo of iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will be upgraded to 4800 megapixels, and the image sensor size will be 1 to 1.5 inches (slightly smaller than the sensor size of iPhone 14 Pro, but the image quality will be much better than the 1200 megapixels of iPhone 14).

3. IPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will use 4 nm A16 chip (iPhone 14 will use 5 nm A15 chip)

4. IPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Ultra (or iPhone 15 Pro Max) do not make much sense for users who already own the iPhone 14 Pro model, mainly equipped with periscope cameras, 8GB memory and tactile feedback buttons.
