CTOnews.com, December 2 (Xinhua)-- PCIe 5.0SSD, originally scheduled to go on sale in November, is expected to ship in large quantities early next year, and major SSD brands are likely to release their flagship PCIe 5.0SSD models on CES early next month, according to OC3D.

CTOnews.com learned that at the 2022 Flash Summit, AMD and Groupon demonstrated the E26 master PCIe Gen5 SSD running on the Ruilong 7000 platform with a read speed of 10GB / s instead of the previously predicted 12GB / s. It is reported that the current cluster E26 master chip needs to cooperate with the new generation of 3D-TLC flash memory to achieve a read speed of more than 12 GB / s.

According to OC3D, Groupon shipped the E26 PCIe 5.0master chip in October. The master was first unveiled on CES in January this year, when officials said that PS5026-E26 could achieve the highest continuous read speed of 12GB / s and continuous write speed of 11GB / s, as well as 4K random read speed of 1500K IOPS and 4K random write speed of 2000K IOPS.
