Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--
Recently the mood has a little bit grumpy, why? It's all because of Word.
Whether it is writing reports, planning copywriters, speeches, papers, all can not be separated from TA.
Although it is not difficult for me to write a copywriter, once I encounter a situation that needs to be numbered, I will. Help me!
Why is Word numbered automatically?
Why is the automatic numbering suddenly disconnected?
Why is the number format of the paper messed up again?
……
Kou Heng! I, Niu Cobalu, will never throw in the towel like this!
Learning from the bitter experience, I have sorted out some tips on the use of Word numbering, and today I share it with you who also love and hate the Word numbering function! As an experienced person, I strongly recommend that you collect the 🤗 that you will use one day.
P.s. Microsoft Word 2016 or above is recommended. If you use WPS, some of the techniques may not be applicable.
How do I cancel automatic numbering? Automatic numbering can save you a lot of time to type content, and the format is consistent, do not need to make too many subsequent adjustments, in this respect, TA is really quite likeable.
But sometimes, we don't need automatic numbering. Is there any way to cancel it?
Case 1: permanently cancel the automatic numbering ❶ after opening the Word document, select the [File]-[options] command.
❷ in the pop-up [Word] options dialog box, select "proofread", and click the "autocorrect options" button in the right window.
❸ in the pop-up "autocorrect" dialog box, "apply format automatically when typing" tab, uncheck the "autonumbered list" and click the "OK" button.
Case 2: cancel automatic numbering on demand usually, if you do not need to continue numbering after the automatic numbering occurs, pressing the [Enter] key twice in a row will disappear.
How do I set the number to start again from 1? Sometimes during paragraph numbering, a new numbering is needed to start a new paragraph, but Word defaults to continuing numbering.
In this case, how do you set the number to start again from 1?
Right-click the number and select the [restart at 1] command from the pop-up menu.
How to reconnect the disconnected number? If you want to reconnect the disconnected number, you can right-click the number and select the continue numbering command from the pop-up menu.
The same level of content can directly use the numbering function, but if it is a long document, such as a paper, it is often necessary to set the number of multiple levels of content, and there is a linkage between the numbering of each level.
In these cases, you can try the multi-level list function, add or delete a number, others will also be automatically corrected, very convenient!
Of course, only if you have mastered the following skills
How to quickly set up multi-level title numbers? ❶ clicks the Multi-level list icon in the ribbon of the start tab.
❷ can select the list style command with the title style linked from the pop-up menu.
There are many styles in Word's list library for you to use, but if these styles don't meet the requirements, how to customize the multi-level list you need?
How to customize the multi-level list style? For example, the format of some papers requires the first-level title label to use the Chinese style, such as "Chapter 1", "1.1" for the second level, and "1.1.1" for the third level.
So, how to set up this type of multi-level title?
❶ clicks the Multi-level list icon on the ribbon of the start tab, and in the menu bar, select the change [1,1.1,1.1.1...] with the suffix "title 1" and "title 2".
❷ selects the define New Multi-level list command from the drop-down menu of the multilevel list.
❸ in the pop-up dialog box, click the [more] button in the lower left corner to make the dialog box display the full interface.
❹ selects [Click the level to be modified] as [1], enter "No." before "1" with gray shading in [format of input number], and "Chapter" after that. [the numbering style for this level] is selected as [one, two, three (Jane).] to complete the setting of the numbering of the first chapter.
❺ selects [Click the level you want to modify] to [2] and check the [formal form number] check box.
❻ repeats step 5, after setting the number of all remaining levels, click the [set all levels] button, set the desired [text indentation position] value (such as 0cm), and the parameter after the number (such as space), click the "OK" button.
In this way, the title label style we need is set up!
By the way, the style here as a case is for reference only. If you need other format requirements, the steps are the same, and you can use them flexibly.
How to solve the problem of automatic numbering of titles at all levels of Word? After starting the new first-level title, the second-level title number does not start with 1, but continues the previous chapter.
Open the complete interface of the [define a new multi-level list] dialog box, select [Click the level to modify] to [2] check the check box before [restart the list] and select [level 1].
By the same token, once you have set the number for all levels except the first-level title, click the OK button.
