The following vehicles are planned to be recalled.

First, from now on, recall some imported BMW iX and i4 electric vehicles from September 28, 2021 to June 10, 2022, a total of 38 vehicles.

CTOnews.com learned that some vehicles within the scope of the recall may have foreign bodies in the power battery unit due to manufacturing errors. This will cause a short circuit inside the battery, and in serious cases, it may cause the power battery to catch fire and there is a hidden danger to safety.

BMW (China) Automobile Trading Co., Ltd. will repair the recalled vehicles free of charge and replace the defective battery modules with normal battery modules to eliminate safety risks.

Emergency measures: the driver should temporarily avoid charging the vehicle before recall and maintenance.

Second, from now on, recall part of the imported BMW old i3 electric vehicles from February 7, 2019 to August 29, 2019, a total of 3 vehicles.

The power battery of the vehicle within the scope of this recall may cause excessive self-discharge due to the abnormal manufacturing process of the battery. In extreme cases, it will lead to overheating of the power battery module, the possibility of fire can not be ruled out, there are safety risks.

BMW (China) Automobile Trading Co., Ltd. will inspect the recalled vehicles and replace defective battery modules free of charge to eliminate safety risks.
