CTOnews.com, December 1 (Xinhua)-- according to Electrek, Tesla has increased the production of the Texas superfactory to several thousand vehicles per week and increased the production of the long-lasting version of Model Y on the basis of the standard battery life version.

The Texas Super Factory, which invested billions of dollars, is one of Tesla's most important projects. But Tesla has been tight-lipped about the production data of the Texas super factory.

CTOnews.com learned that Tesla has been gradually speeding up production since slow production of Model Y began at the end of 2021 and began delivering Texas-made Model Y models in April this year.

Tesla aims to produce 10, 000 cars a week by the end of this year. But the speed of production at the Texas superplant is unclear, with sources saying there were less than 1000 Model Ys a week.

According to people familiar with the matter, since the addition of the long-range version of the Model Y model, the Teslad superplant is now producing thousands of cars a week.

Tesla can deliver as many as 5000 cars a week at the Texas superfactory, but it is not clear whether that rate is sustainable, according to a source. Another source said that since the new Model Y long-range model, Tesla can produce at least 2000 Model Ys a week at the factory.
