CTOnews.com, December 1, according to SeekingAlpha, Microsoft and Sony recently held a meeting, and Microsoft is trying to reassure Sony that Activision games will be allowed to continue to be available on PlayStation game consoles, and the relevant terms will be discussed at the meeting.

The deal, worth nearly $69 billion, is the largest acquisition in video game history. Sony has repeatedly opposed the deal. Jim Ryan, chief executive of Sony Interactive Entertainment, said Microsoft's initial proposal to keep call of Duty on PlayStation for at least three years was "inadequate", while Sony believed that once the deal was completed, Microsoft would be able to raise the price of Xbox games, Xbox consoles and Xbox Game Pass.

CTOnews.com has learned that Microsoft's acquisition of Activision Blizzard is currently under regulatory review in several countries, including the Federal Trade Commission of the United States, the CMA of the United Kingdom and the European Commission of the European Union. So far, the deal has been approved without restrictions by Saudi Arabia, Brazil and Serbia.

Before this latest development, Microsoft reportedly offered Sony a 10-year agreement to ensure that call of Duty would remain on the PlayStation platform as a concession to the European Commission to secure approval of the deal. Another recent report said that the FTC is "very likely" to block the deal, and that the FTC's decision is expected to be made in January 2023.
