According to CTOnews.com news on November 30, Guangdong petrochemical project No. 5 joint 3 million tons / year naphtha hydrogenation unit contracted by global engineering company PC, a subsidiary of CNPC, has successfully produced qualified refined naphtha recently, marking the successful trial operation of PetroChina's largest naphtha hydrogenation unit under construction.

According to reports, the project team completed the system purging of the naphtha hydrogenation unit on June 18, 2022, completed the drying and drying of the reaction system on October 11, started the cold oil transportation of the plant on November 6, and started Pmur1001B on November 24 to start sulfur injection and heating vulcanization, and successfully produced the qualified product "refined naphtha" on November 28.

Guangdong Petrochemical Project No. 5 United 3 million tons / year naphtha hydrogenation unit covers an area of 14700 square meters. The above atmospheric and vacuum unit Ⅰ, naphtha from atmospheric and vacuum unit Ⅱ and hydrotreating coking naphtha are used as feedstocks to provide qualified feedstock for downstream continuous reforming unit through hydrogenation reaction and fractionation process.
