CTOnews.com November 30 news, Changguang Chenxin announced the launch of the GLUX series of the second high-sensitivity, backlit scientific-grade CMOS image sensor-GLUX1605BSI. As the standard product with the largest pixel size of long light core, GLUX1605BSI is mainly for the application of high-end low-light level monitoring and scientific imaging.

CTOnews.com learned that the image sensor is a 1-inch target with a resolution of 800 (H) x 600 (V). With the large pixel design of 16 μ m, subelectronic readout noise and 90% quantum efficiency, it has excellent low-light detection ability, which provides the technical possibility for high frame rate shooting of starlight detection and scientific imaging.

■ HDR mode

In HDR mode, 1.6e-readout noise and 73keto full well capacity can be achieved, thus the dynamic range up to 93dB can be obtained, and the dark and bright details of the picture can be distinguished at the same time in the same frame. The frame rate of the highest 60fps greatly improves the fluency of the picture, bringing an unprecedented high-quality experience for low-light imaging.

■ low noise mode

In low noise mode, the maximum frame rate of the chip is 25fps, the readout noise is less than 0.9eMel, and the power consumption is only 80mW. Ultra-low dark current can be achieved at-20 ℃. The excellent optoelectronic performance in this mode makes it an ideal choice for scientific imaging.

GLUX1605BSI supports 12bit ADC output and adopts 4 pairs of sub-LVDS and MIPI (CSI-2, D-PHY) interface compatible design. GLUX1605BSI is pin compatible with the previously released GLUX9701BSI SXGA image sensor, both in the form of 84-pin CLCC package and the compact package size of 22mm x 22mm. The chip is available in both sealed glass and detachable glass.

GLUX1605BSI samples are now being ordered and shipments are expected to begin in December 2022.

GLUX series is a series of backlit scientific-grade CMOS image sensors for low-light applications. This series combines subelectronic readout noise and high frame frequency characteristics and can be widely used in scientific imaging and low-light monitoring fields.
