So far, a total of 1.2 million kilowatts of 4 units of Suwalong Hydropower Station have been put into operation.

The Jinsha River Suwa Longshui Power Station is located on the main stream of the Jinsha River at the junction of Batang County and Xizang Mangkang County in Sichuan Province. construction began in November 2015 and the first unit was put into operation in July 2022. CTOnews.com learned that after all the units of Suwalong Hydropower Station are put into operation, the average annual generating capacity is about 5.5 billion kilowatt hours, which can save 1.8 million tons of standard coal and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 4.3 million tons.

The project management department of Huadian Suwalong Hydropower Station said that in order to ensure the safety of the dam, Huadian Jinshang Company adopted the domestic advanced "intelligent dam" filling technology. "We have installed 516 precision measuring instruments in the dam, using the Beidou positioning system to monitor the whole process of dam filling and compaction in real time, and the positioning error is controlled to the centimeter level."

The Suwa Dragon Fish breeding Station was built with an investment of 107 million yuan, and a total of 2.1 million fish fry were released since 2018. The Suwalong Hydropower Station has also built the first fish lift combination system and fish collection system in the upper reaches of the Jinsha River, where fish can take an "elevator" to achieve migration.
