From the first to the third quarter of 2022, global RPG tour revenue exceeded 15.6 billion US dollars, but with the weakening of the impact of COVID-19 's epidemic, revenue fell 13.4 percent compared with the same period last year.

The Japanese market RPG mobile games has the highest revenue and continues to maintain a revenue share of about 35 per cent, while the Chinese market RPG mobile games revenue share fell from 23 per cent in 2020 to 20 per cent in 2022, CTOnews.com learned.

Among the different RPG mobile games sub-categories, MMORPG and team RPG solve puzzles RPG has the strongest ability to attract money, with three sub-categories contributing 80% of RPG mobile game revenue in 2022. Among them, "Lineage W", "Sai Yi Niang" and "Monster Pinball" are the highest-paid mobile games in the three sub-categories.

IP mobile games lead the global RPG mobile games bestseller list.

IP gamification is an important strategy for the world's popular RPG mobile games to attract users. From 2020 to now, the vast majority of Top10 mobile games in the annual ranking of global RPG mobile game revenue are IP mobile games. With its hot heaven series of MMORPG mobile games, South Korean publisher NCSOFT topped the 2022 RPG mobile game issuer revenue list, while Japanese publishers remained the leader in the global RPG mobile game market. Chinese publishers NetEase, Panax Notoginseng Mutual Entertainment and Tencent ranked 2nd, 3rd and 9th respectively.

In the first three quarters of 2022, the doomsday survival theme RPG mobile game "Puzzles & Survival" attracted nearly 450 million US dollars in overseas markets, ranking first in the overseas revenue list of China's RPG mobile games. At the same time, Sanqi Mutual Entertainment, the publisher of "Puzzles & Survival", won the title of overseas revenue of Chinese RPG mobile game publishers in 2022 with overseas RPG mobile game revenue of more than 600 million US dollars.

In the first three quarters of 2022, RPG mobile games, owned by Youai Mutual, the publisher of placing Girls, earned more than US $200 million in overseas App Store and Google Play, ranking second on the list of RPG mobile game publishers.
