CTOnews.com November 30 news, China Mobile's chip company Zhongxinsheng Technology announced yesterday that it will release two Internet of Things Hub chips at the 2022 China Mobile Global Partner Conference, among which the NB-IoT communication chip sleep power consumption is as low as 0.9μA.

According to reports, China Mobile has built the world's largest dedicated Internet of Things network, with 2G, 4G, 5G, NB-IoT full standard access capabilities. As of October 2022, the number of Internet of Things users of China Mobile has reached 1 billion.

CTOnews.com understands that China Mobile has developed a number of RISC-V core IoT chips, and the two chips expected to be released this time are NB-IoT and LTE-Cat1 communication chips.

Among them, NB-loT communication chip can be applied to smart meter, smart security, smart agriculture, smart city, smart door lock, smart finance and other scenarios. LTE-Cat1 communication chip is the industry's first 64-bit RISC-V core LTE communication chip, suitable for medium-rate communication, low-cost, mature network application scenarios.

According to China Mobile, NB IoT and 4G Cat.1 products are planned to be launched by the end of 2022, and 5G Redcap pre-research work will be launched in 2023 to accelerate the establishment of NB IoT+Cat.1+Redcap cellular Internet of Things solutions covering high, medium and low speeds.
