CTOnews.com November 30 news, Canalys released a report today that in the third quarter of 2022, global wearable wristband devices grew 3.4% year-on-year, with shipments reaching 49 million units. The overall growth rate of wearable wristband watch devices, including basic watches and smartwatches, made up for the decline in wearable wristband bracelets.

Among them, Apple and Samsung both launched new products this quarter, and the launch of their new smartwatch helped it reach the top and sub-Asian position, accounting for 20% and 10% of the market, up 37% and 16% from a year earlier.

CTOnews.com learned that Canalys said Xiaomi ranked third, with a 9 per cent market share, due to the pace of shipments. Local Indian brand Noise, through its cost-effective basic watches, broke into fourth place with triple-digit growth, with a market share of 7 per cent. Huawei fared slightly weaker, also taking fifth place with a 7% market share.

In the Chinese mainland market, the top five market shares of wearable wristband devices in the third quarter of 2022 were Huawei (24%), Xiaomi (22%), Xiao Genius (10%), Apple (9%) and OPPO (4%).
