CTOnews.com has learned that at Flash Summit 2022, AMD and Qunlian demonstrated an E26 host PCIe Gen5 SSD running on the Ryzen 7000 platform with read speeds of 10GB / s.

It is reported that the current E26 master chip with 2400MT / s bandwidth of 3D-TLC flash memory can reach an ultra-fast read speed of 10 GB / s. After that, manufacturers will continue to verify the new generation of materials and NAND flash particles, so that the overall performance is further improved, reading speed can reach more than 12 GB / s.

AMD and Intel's latest motherboard platforms already support PCIe 5.0 SSDs, and heat sink manufacturers have introduced a number of M.2 active heat sinks, but no manufacturer has announced an accurate time to market for PCIe 5.0 SSDs.
