The Dream is about 10 meters high and has an excavation diameter of 23.02 meters, which is by far the largest excavation diameter in the world, filling in the world gap in the product type spectrum of roadheader and marking a new level in the scientific and technological research of China's underground engineering equipment.

"Dream" is jointly built by Railway Construction heavy Industry and China Railway 15th Bureau, and integrates the functions of excavation, slag extraction, support and guiding. It is suitable for the construction of super-large diameter shafts in soft soil and soft rock strata, and the overall technology has reached the international advanced level. The equipment adopts fully sealed and high pressure-bearing design. During the construction operation, the main engine will dive underwater to collect soil, with a maximum excavation depth of 80 meters. At the same time, it has the ability of variable diameter excavation, and will participate in the construction of underground intelligent garage in Jing'an District, Shanghai.
