It is said that Ningde Times, through the pioneering AB battery system integration technology, to achieve sodium-lithium mash-up, complementary advantages, improve the energy density of the battery system, so that the application of sodium ion battery is expected to expand to 500km models. This endurance model will be aimed at 65% of the market, and the application prospect is very broad.

CTOnews.com learned that Ningde Times officially released the first generation of sodium ion batteries in July this year: the energy density reaches 160Wh/kg, which is currently the highest level in the world. Ningde Times said that the energy density of the first generation sodium ion battery is slightly lower than that of the current lithium iron phosphate battery, but it has obvious advantages in low temperature performance and fast charging, especially in high cold areas.

Ningde Times has said many times before that the company has started the industrial layout of sodium ion batteries and will form a basic industrial chain in 2023.

According to reports, Ningde era in the third quarter of 90GWh sales, power battery sales accounted for about 80% of battery system sales. According to SNE Research data, the global market share of power battery usage reached 35.5% in the Ningde era from January to August 2022.

With regard to the progress of mass production of sodium ion batteries, Ningde Times said that the industrialization of sodium ion batteries is progressing smoothly and it will take some time on the layout of the supply chain. It has been negotiated with some passenger car customers and will be officially mass produced next year.
