CTOnews.com November 29 news, according to China Civil Aviation News reported that on November 29, C919 aircraft T5 test summary and AEG review report activities were held in China Commercial Aircraft Customer Service Center. After the completion of the T5 test, 15 pilots, including flight instructors from China Commercial Aircraft Service Center, obtained the C919 aircraft type qualification, which also marked that the C919 aircraft was about to be delivered for operation.

It is understood that T5 test is called flight standardization committee type level training specification test, which is the key work in the process of new aircraft operation conformity review (i.e. AEG review), and is also a comprehensive inspection of model design and manufacturer system. The first pilots, flight instructors and local inspectors of the new aircraft can obtain type qualification after the completion of T5 test, which is of great significance to the delivery operation of the new aircraft and subsequent flight safety. The T5 test of C919 aircraft lasted nearly 2 months, with 5 representatives of the bureau (including 1 representative of Civil Aviation Department of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government), 3 pilots of Eastern Airlines and 2 pilots of China Commercial Aircraft Customer Service Center participating.

After T5 test summary, CAAC Flight Standards Department issued C919 Aircraft Evaluation Report (i.e. AEG Evaluation Report) to COMAC, giving various evaluation conclusions such as pilot qualification specification, maintenance personnel qualification specification, main minimum equipment list, planned maintenance requirements, operation and continuous airworthiness documents of C919 aircraft. The conclusions build a bridge from design, manufacture to operation and maintenance for domestic large aircraft, which is a necessary condition for C919 aircraft to be put into operation. In order to better carry out the AEG review of C919 aircraft, since 2016, this work has been carried out simultaneously with its airworthiness certification work, among which the four review items of pilot qualification specification, main minimum equipment list, planned maintenance requirements and emergency evacuation demonstration of the whole aircraft are jointly carried out by the Civil Aviation Administration, the Civil Aviation Department of the Government of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and the Civil Aviation Administration of Macao Special Administrative Region.

In combination with this activity, CAAC East China Administration issued the Certificate of Flight Training Institution and Certificate of Maintenance Training Institution to COMAC Customer Service Center for the addition of C919 aircraft. This marks that COMAC officially has the ability to provide complete model training services for C919 aircraft customers.

CTOnews.com learned that on November 21, Wang Jian, secretary of the board of directors of China Eastern Airlines, introduced the operation of domestic aircraft by China Eastern Airlines, saying that the company is the first user of domestic C919 large passenger aircraft. According to the current plan, the company will receive the first C919 large passenger aircraft at the end of the year. The company is also actively preparing for the operation of C919 in all aspects. It is expected that it will be put into commercial operation after completing relevant regulations and requirements of Civil Aviation Administration in the first half of next year. According to the aviation circle, yesterday morning, the delivery launch meeting of B-919A was held at Zhuqiao Base of China Commercial Aircraft, marking the official launch of C919 global first delivery and reception work. This also means that China Eastern's first C919 aircraft has reached delivery status.
