After users type out pinyin, the keyboard only displays the corresponding rare words, which can type the name quickly and accurately and complete identity authentication.

At present, more than 60 million people across the country have rare words in their names, and once their names contain rare words, they will encounter trouble in a variety of scenarios that need to be supported by information systems, especially those with cross-agency certification, Qianjiang Evening News reported. Because the Chinese character coding font is different, in the face of rare characters that cannot be typed, different organizations often use broken characters, pinyin, traditional characters, or even spaces and asterisks to replace them, and the same person may have different names in different institutions.

A person in charge of Alipay said that at present, in the process of identity authentication, users of rare words only need to click the "unfamiliar words" button next to the "name" column to evoke the keyboard and display only rare words corresponding to Pinyin, not common characters, so that users can find and type the correct names. Rare word users through Alipay identity authentication, can be normal card binding, facial scan payment, as well as view the use of provident fund, medical insurance card, traffic management and other government services. Rare word users who need to apply for Zhejiang health codes can now apply and view them directly on Alipay.

CTOnews.com learned that Alipay's obscure word keyboard is actually part of the Ant Group's obscure word solution, behind which is a special font jointly designed and developed in conjunction with Alibaba's Prudential obscure character plan, and developed its own input method to solve the problem of input and display of obscure words, as well as self-developed technology such as one word and multi-code to achieve inter-agency network verification.
