OpenRGB is an open source, cross-vendor and cross-platform software that controls the RGB lighting effects of GPU, motherboards, keyboards and other lighting peripherals.

As the manufacturers do not pay much attention to the Linux platform, there is a lack of corresponding RGB lighting management software. OpenRGB starts from this point and provides an open source RGB lighting management system on Windows and Linux platforms.

CTOnews.com learned that OpenRGB 0.8 added a lot of newly launched consumer hardware, including Asustek, MSI, EVGA, Palit and Colorful graphics cards that support RGB lighting, as well as support for Razer, Logitech, MSI Mystic Light controllers, some Acer displays and other devices.

OpenRGB 0.8 also improved its user interface, automatically generated udev rules, fixed bugs, and made a number of other improvements.
