CTOnews.com November 29, 2016 GIGABYTE, a manufacturer of motherboards, graphics and hardware solutions, announced that Instant 6GHz technology designed for Intel ® Core™ i9- 13900K and Core™ i7- 13700K is being rolled out to the Z690 platform. Users of this platform only need to upgrade the BIOS version and enable the relevant options to overclock these two processors to 6GHz, and the single-core performance can be improved by up to 3%.

CTOnews.com has learned that GigaTech's Instant 6GHz technology, previously exclusive to the Z790 platform, helps users unlock the performance of Intel ® Core ™i9- 13900K and Core ™i7- 13700K processors in an easier way, and is now available to Z690 platform users.

Giga said that Z690 motherboard users can enable Instant 6GHz after upgrading the BIOS. When enabled, the system can automatically adjust CPU voltage and Vcore load line calibration for Intel® Core™ i9- 13900K and Core™ i7- 13700K processors to detect optimized cores running at 6GHz.
