CTOnews.com, November 29 (Xinhua)-- Apple introduced MagSafe magnetic charging on its mobile phone when the iPhone 12 series was launched in 2020. Foreign tubing channel ChargerLAB uses the same MagSafe charger to charge iPhone 14 Pro Max and iPhone 13 Pro Max in the latest video, and observes whether Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max has any improvement in wireless charging through actual measurement and comparison.

Although MagSafe technology has not made much improvement since the release of the iPhone 12 series. However, ChargerLAB found that the iPhone 14 Pro Max can make the charging of the MagSafe more efficient.

ChargerLAB measures the amount of electricity transferred during charging, the peak power, and the time it takes to fully charge the device. Although it has not changed much, there are some interesting differences between the results obtained by iPhone 14 Pro Max and iPhone 13 Pro Max.

Compared with the iPhone 13 Pro Max, the iPhone 14 Pro Max charge speed remains between 16W and 19W for a longer time. After 44 minutes of charging, the charging speed of iPhone 13 Pro Max using MagSafe Charger decreased significantly, while that of iPhone 14 Pro Max did not occur until 64 minutes.

CTOnews.com learned that at the end of the test, the iPhone 14 Pro Max was fully charged for 2 hours and 18 minutes, while the iPhone 13 Pro Max took 2 hours and 26 minutes. And iPhone 14 Pro Max can be recharged up to 50% in less time.

ChargerLAB believes that the main reason for the difference is that Apple has improved the cooling system of the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro series to run at lower temperatures and improve the charging efficiency of the MagSafe.
