It is worth mentioning that Satoru Honma, CD Projekt Red's Japan regional manager, recently said that they have no plans to continue to build "Cyberpunk: marginal Walkers", and that Studio Trigger Studios has no such idea.

"I personally hope to continue to work with Japanese studios to produce more anime in the future, in part because we have received very good feedback," he said in an interview with Famitsu.

"however, it needs to be clear that Cyberpunk: marginal Walker is an independent work, so there is no such thing as'We are actually secretly working on season 2'. Even if we are going to make more animations in the future, I don't know if it's season 2 or something completely different."
