Prior to this, the car successfully realized the installation of power battery and supporting cooling system in Saraburi AES depot, and completed all static debugging work such as low voltage function and traction motor steering synchronously.

Compared with electric locomotives, there is no need to set up overhead catenary, the construction cost is low, and does not affect the overall aesthetics of the city.

CTOnews.com learned that as the first new energy locomotive exported by CRRC to Southeast Asia, the first locomotive was shipped from Dalian to Thailand in August this year. The battery-powered locomotive will be able to save more than 40% of energy costs.

Thailand is located in the stronghold of ASEAN. The entry of new energy locomotives into Thailand can widely radiate the markets of neighboring countries and promote the market development of the whole Southeast Asian countries. At the same time, the coverage of electrified lines in most Southeast Asian countries is relatively low, and they are implementing the concept of energy saving and emission reduction and vigorously developing new energy. The demand for new energy locomotives will continue to increase in the future.
