As the company continues to expand the availability of Android 13 to more devices, Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite has just been added to the list of upgrades to the official version of One UI 5.0. Moreover, it will be the only Galaxy S10 series model to accept Android 13 updates.

The Samsung One UI 5.0 update is now available for Galaxy S10 Lite users in Europe and Spain, but it is expected that more countries and regions will be available soon.

The Android 13 / One UI 5.0 update firmware version of Galaxy S10 Lite (SM-G770F) is G770FXXU6HVK5. The package also includes a security patch for November 2022, although the latter has been available for Galaxy S10 Lite since the beginning of this month.

CTOnews.com learned that with the One UI 5.0 update, Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite will get a slightly redesigned user interface, richer lock screen customization options, reasonable changes to the setup application, and theoretically better UI performance. Galaxy S10 Lite can also get better multitasking with the new multi-window gestures in the lab, but will not get new features from Samsung DeX because the S10 Lite does not support desktop environments.

Users of Galaxy S10 Lite in Europe can download One UI 5.0 updates by opening the Settings application, navigating to "Software updates" and clicking "download and install".

Unfortunately, for other models of the Galaxy S10 series, the S10 Lite will still be the only model that can enjoy One UI 5.0. The Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite was released almost exactly a year after the flagship Samsung S10 series models, and was pre-installed with Android 10 instead of Android 9. This qualifies the Galaxy S10 Lite to upgrade to Android 13, while other models of the S10 series will stick with Android 12. This is also the last major firmware update Samsung has prepared for the Galaxy S10 Lite.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip and Galaxy Z Flip 5G International received an update to Android 13 a few days ago, and now these two phones have also been updated in the United States. The Sprint and T-Mobile versions are bundled with November 2022 security patches, with Samsung Galaxy Z Flip and Galaxy Z Flip 5G firmware versions of F700USQU5HVK5 and F707USQU3GVK3, respectively.
