CTOnews.com, November 28, the latest report from International data Corporation (IDC) shows that the total investment in China's network security market will be $12.2 billion (about 88.084 billion yuan) in 2021.

Among them, the investment in security hardware products reached $4.7 billion (about 33.934 billion yuan), accounting for 39% of the total investment; the investment in security software products reached $4.24 billion (about 30.613 billion yuan), accounting for 35% of the total investment; the investment in security service products reached $3.24 billion (about 23.393 billion yuan), accounting for 26% of the total income.

CTOnews.com has learned that IDC predicts that the investment in China's IT security market will reach US $31.9 billion (about RMB 230.318 billion) by 2026, of which the market share of security software will exceed that of security hardware, and the share of software will reach 41 per cent in 2026.

According to the report, from the industry dimension, the government, finance and operators will still lead the overall network security industry expenditure by 2026. In addition, IDC predicts that manufacturing (including discrete manufacturing and process manufacturing) will become the fastest growing industry market for cyber security spending in China in the next five years, with a five-year compound growth rate of 22.8%. Manufacturing IT security spending is expected to reach $2.22 billion (about 16.028 billion yuan) by 2026.
