CTOnews.com November 28 news, TrendForce Jibang Consulting released a report today that 1350 million pens and electric panels were shipped in October 2022, down 16.1% from the previous month and 45.0% from the same period last year, setting a new low for the same period since 2011.

▲ Touyuan: TrendForce Jibang Consulting report pointed out that in the fourth quarter of this year, due to global economic uncertainty and high inventory in the overall supply chain, shipments of notebook panels will remain in the doldrums, with estimated shipments of about 4170 million pieces, a decrease of 10.8% from the previous month and 45.9% from the same period last year.

According to statistics, the supply-demand ratio of electric panels in the third quarter of 2021 is about 18%. As the ideal value of the balance between supply and demand falls at 11%-14%, it is obvious that the supply exceeds demand, and the oversupply is serious quarter by quarter.

CTOnews.com has learned that despite the off-season of traditional demand in the first quarter of 2023, brand purchases of panels are expected to pick up slightly as the brand's panel inventory returns to healthy levels. As a result, TrendForce Jibang Consulting estimates that shipments of electric pen panels in the first quarter of 2023 will increase 3.5% month-on-month to 43.2 million pieces, with a supply-demand ratio of about 13%.
