According to the China manned Space Engineering Office, after a study by the space station phase mission headquarters, the Shenzhou 15 manned spacecraft was launched at 23: 08 Beijing time on November 29. The flight crew is composed of astronauts Fei Junlong, Deng Qingming and Zhang Lu, with Fei Junlong as commander.

The Shenzhou 15 crew has been in orbit for six months, and the main objectives of the mission include verifying the space station's ability to support crew rotation and realizing the first on-orbit rotation of astronauts. During the orbit, Tianzhou 6 and Shenzhou 16 will be ushered in, and it is planned to return to the Dongfeng landing site in May next year.

According to the plan, after entering orbit, the Shenzhou 15 manned spacecraft will adopt the mode of autonomous rapid rendezvous and docking, docking at the forward ports of the sky and the core module, forming a combination of "three cabins and three ships." this is the current largest configuration of the Chinese space station, with a total mass of nearly 100 tons.

On November 21, the combination of Shenzhou 15 manned spacecraft and long March 2 F Yao 15 carrier rocket was transferred to the launch area, and it is planned to launch in the near future. With the completion of the transfer, the Shenzhou 15 manned mission officially entered the final stage of preparation for launch.

The Shenzhou 15 spacecraft will take three new astronauts to the China Space Station. after the launch of the Shenzhou 15 manned spacecraft, it will dock at the forward docking interface of the node module of the sky and the core module, that is, the only empty docking interface for the current space station assembly. At that time, the Chinese space station will form a combination of "three major segments" and "three spacecraft". The two Shenzhou spacecraft are working in orbit at the same time, which will be the first time in China's manned space program. The two crew of Shenzhou 15 and Shenzhou 14 will also achieve a "rendezvous in space" and jointly complete the on-orbit rotation of the first astronaut crew. After completing a short 5-10-day same orbit rotation, the Shenzhou 14 crew returned to the ground aboard the Shenzhou 14, and the Shenzhou 15 crew continued to carry out the mission in orbit.
