CTOnews.com, November 27, according to CCTV news, Academician long Lehao, former chief designer of the long March carrier rocket series, revealed that the overall configuration plan of the long March 9 has been basically determined.

CTOnews.com learned that Academician long Lehao said that long March 9 was thicker in diameter and fatter than Fang 5 (long March 5), with a diameter of 10.6m and a height of nearly 110m. For comparison, long March 5 is 5 meters in diameter and more than 50 meters high.

According to reports, the low-rail carrying capacity of the long March 9 has reached 150 tons. In theory, long March 9, with a low-orbit carrying capacity of 150 tons, could send the entire space station into space, the report said. Academician long Lehao said that "China's rocket carrying capacity will enter the world's first echelon or even be in the forefront."

According to previous reports, China's long March 9 heavy carrier rocket has achieved phased research results, and mission planning is expected to achieve its maiden flight before 2030.
