On November 24, local time, Guillermo Calderon, director of the Mexico City Metro Bureau, released the overall modernization project of Mexico City Metro Line 1, fully affirming the progress and quality of the project.

According to reports, the train design of the project is very Mexican, with tough shape and bright colors. The train is composed of 9 sections (6 moving and 3 towing), with a maximum operating speed of 80 km / h, 150.9 m long and 2.52 m wide, with a maximum capacity of 2252 passengers, which can meet the slope climbing capacity of 8% and the curve radius capacity of 45 m.

The ▲ diagram shows that the bogie adopts the structure of running with large rubber wheels and guided by small rubber wheels, which can effectively reduce the noise generated during operation and adapt to the local terrain conditions in Mexico. CTOnews.com learned that in December 2020, CRRC Corporation and CRRC Hong Kong Company successfully won the bid for the overall modernization project of Mexico City Metro Line 1. According to the contract, 27 new cars need to be manufactured locally in Mexico.
