CTOnews.com November 26, the UBports community is still promoting and maintaining Ubuntu Touch, and recently released OTA-24 updates. Ubuntu Touch OTA-24 continues to support a variety of devices from Asustek, BQ, Google, LG, one plus, Samsung, Sony, Xiaomi and other suppliers.

Ubuntu Touch is migrating from Ubuntu 16.04 LTS to Ubuntu 20.04 LTS, but unfortunately this OTA-24 update is still based on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, but officials say OTA-24 is the last update based on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS.

CTOnews.com learned that the team said that the OTA-25 update might migrate to Ubuntu 20.04 LTS, and that the new version focused on repairing existing BUG without introducing too many new features.

After upgrading to Ubuntu Touch OTA-24, some models can support "double click Wake up screen" gestures, support URL links that deal with the "sms://" prefix, support 1080p video for Aethercast, repair SMS applications, optimize performance, and so on.
