CTOnews.com, November 25, according to the release of Jinfeng Technology, the first typhoon turbine of Yunnan Provincial key Project-- National Power Investment Yunnan International Fuyuan West Wind Power Project, was successfully connected to the grid recently, marking the successful operation of the largest single unit capacity of wind power in mountainous areas in China, as well as a commercial wind power project with the largest impeller diameter installed on land in the world.

The unit connected to the grid is GWH191-6.7MW, a new generation of medium-speed permanent magnet products of Jinfeng Science and Technology, with a hub height of 110m, impeller diameter of 191m and maximum lifting weight of 150T. It is currently the unit with the largest single unit capacity, the highest tower height, the longest blade and the largest lifting weight of mountain wind power in China.

Fuyuan Xifeng Power Project is invested by the State Power Investment Yunnan International Investment Project, with a total installed scale of 800000 kilowatts, of which 9 GWH191-6.7MW and 8 GWH171-5MW units of Jinfeng Technology are selected in the second phase of Tianshui area connected to the grid. After the project is completed and put into operation, it is estimated that the annual power supply will be 1.96 billion kilowatt-hours, which will save about 641000 tons of standard coal, and reduce the annual emission of carbon dioxide by about 1.732 million tons and sulfur dioxide by about 1171.8 tons.
