CTOnews.com, November 25, according to the release of Southwest Railway, on November 22, a freight train carrying 500m long rails safely entered the Middle East track laying base of the Hambanan Railway, marking that the new line officially entered the long rail storage phase and laid a solid foundation for the next long rail laying construction.

The track-laying base in the Middle East of Pakistan is located in the newly-built high-speed station of Bazhong East Station in Nanchong to Bazhong section of Hanbanan Railway, covering an area of about 100mu, and undertakes the task of laying and storing 316.165 km of double-track long rails in Sichuan section of Hanbanan Railway. The base is equipped with 32 fixed intelligent long rail loading and unloading group cranes, 6 mobile gantry cranes, 1 long rail storage area and 1 sleeper storage area, 4.6 km engineering line, five temporary turnouts, and a designed maximum rail storage capacity of 220 km. 90,000 sleepers of various types.

CTOnews.com learned that the section from Nanchong to Bazhong of Hanban Railway is located in the northeast of Sichuan Province, with a design speed of 250km per hour, with six stations in Nanchongbei, Muba, Yilong, Ma'an, Enyang and the Middle East of Pakistan, with a total length of 148.04 km. All the rails needed for the construction of the project are produced by Panzhihua Iron and Steel Group.
