CTOnews.com, November 25, according to Sinopec official WeChat, Sinopec Madian River Hydrogenation Station, the first pipeline hydrogenation parent station in southwest China, was officially put into operation today. At present, the station has a daily hydrogen supply capacity of 1 ton, and can provide hydrogenation services for 50 hydrogen fuel cell buses every day, and two controlled vehicles can be filled, which is expected to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by more than 7200 tons in the whole year, helping to achieve the goal of "double carbon" and the development of hydrogen energy industry in China.

Madian River Hydrogenation Station is located in Panzhihua City, Sichuan Province. The hydrogen source of Madian River Hydrogenation Station is obtained from the by-product hydrogen purification of local chemical enterprises, and the first hydrogen pipeline in southwest China is laid. The station is the first hydrogen energy demonstration project to build a "hydrogen energy industry demonstration city" in Panzhihua City, and is of great significance to the promotion and demonstration of hydrogenation vehicles in alpine areas.

CTOnews.com learned that unlike ordinary hydrogenation stations, pipeline hydrogenation mother stations can not only provide hydrogenation services for vehicles, but also rely on the access of hydrogen pipelines to achieve hydrogen filling wholesale function, so it is called hydrogenation "parent station". Compared with pure electric vehicles, hydrogen fuel cell vehicles have the characteristics of long mileage, short hydrogenation time, zero emission and zero pollution, which are especially suitable for application scenarios such as low temperature, mountain area, heavy load and long-distance transportation.
