CTOnews.com, Nov. 25, the Thunderbird team has publicly announced that it is promoting the Android version a long time ago, and now it has officially released the first version of the user interface. The Thunderbird team did not develop the Android email management tool from scratch, but worked with Kmuri 9 Mail to improve on the latter.

CTOnews.com learned that the screenshot of the first version of the user interface shows a lot of information, allowing users to choose whether or not to enable it according to their own preferences. The screenshot shows the function of multiple accounts, the name of the sender can be displayed, the email title supports quick reply, and so on.

Clicking on the gray area in the view will show additional details about the message. The screenshot shows that search and filtering options are provided, which is a useful feature for users with many recipients. Other details include displaying information for all recipients, classifying by email client sender, responder, CC and BCC group, and so on.

Android version of Thunderbird is currently under development, and the developer has not announced a release date. This version is likely to be released in mid-2023 along with the next major version of the desktop version, Thunderbird 114.
