But Musk is said to be very fond of two people who pretended to be engineers fired by Twitter on the day Musk took over. Today, one of them has become a Twitter trial employee.

It is reported that Daniel Francis (Daniel Francis) is now listed internally as a Twitter employee and can be seen on the internal Slack channel. Francis cheated the media by pretending to be an engineer fired by Twitter with someone who called himself Rahul Rahul Ligma, making Musk's first day as Twitter's new boss even more chaotic.

In an interview, Francis, who called himself Daniel Daniel Johnson, pretended to walk out of Twitter headquarters in San Francisco with Ligma that day. In interviews, both men said they had been fired by Musk. But later in the day, it was discovered that the two men had never worked on Twitter.

But Mr Francis's position has changed. He currently works as a software developer on Twitter, according to people familiar with the matter. But this may be temporary because he is considered by more people to be on probation.

Francis' prank sparked a debate on Twitter about whether Musk had begun to lay off staff and started weeks of chaos under his leadership. About a week after taking over, Musk began to lay off staff, reducing the number of full-time Twitter employees to about 3500. Subsequent small layoffs and mass resignations further reduced the number of full-time employees on Twitter to about 2300.

However, Musk himself seems to like the prank. Last week, he even invited Ligma and Johnson back to Twitter headquarters and posted photos taken with them in his office. Mr. Francis expressed his admiration for Twitter during the trip, and Mr. Musk offered him a trial job, according to people familiar with the matter.

Daniel Johnson said in a note accompanying the photo for Musk on the right: "Welcome back to Ligma and Johnson!" In a subsequent tweet, he wrote: "when I make mistakes, it's important to admit them. Firing them is really one of my biggest mistakes."

Although Francis does not have an official title in the company's profile, he appears on the internal Slack channel and has a profile, which means he has been added to the internal system as an employee, according to two people familiar with the rest of Twitter. Francis' internal profile photo was taken by the media the day he pretended to be a Twitter engineer, standing outside Twitter headquarters with a cardboard box, looking depressed.
