Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--
CTOnews.com, Nov. 25 (Xinhua)-- the Orion spacecraft, which is on an Artemis I mission, lost 47 minutes of communication with NASA's mission control center during a "far retrograde orbit" (distant retrograde orbit) operation around the moon.
CTOnews.com learned that the Houston-based NASA Mission Control Center was disconnected from Orion at 0: 09 a.m. in the central North American time zone for 47 minutes. The engineering team was able to restore the communication link between the spacecraft and the deep space network by reconfiguring it.
At present, the NASA mission control center is investigating the cause of the disconnection. After the connection was restored, Jim Free, NASA's deputy director for exploration system development, said: "We have started an investigation." NASA said that because the data was recorded directly on Orion's airborne system, the data was not lost. "Orion is not affected and the spacecraft is operating healthily," NASA said in an update.
