In March this year, Li Hong, chief scientist and founder of Weilan New Energy, revealed at the China Electric vehicle Centenary Forum that Weilan New Energy is working with Weilai Automobile and plans to launch a hybrid solid-liquid electrolyte battery with a single charge life of 1000 km based on the ET7 model. The battery package has an energy density of 360Wh/kg. Mass production of the solid-state battery is expected by the end of this year or the first half of next year.

According to previous information, Weilan New Energy, founded in 2016, is headquartered in Beijing and has three major production bases in Beijing Fangshan, Jiangsu Liyang and Huzhou, Zhejiang Province. the company focuses on the R & D and production of mixed solid-liquid electrolyte lithium-ion batteries and all-solid-state lithium-ion batteries. Weilan New Energy concentrated its early business in the 3C consumer electronics field, and then entered the Lulai supply chain to become its semi-solid battery supplier. In November 2021, Xiaomi and Huawei jointly invested in Weilan New Energy, spending about 500 million yuan.
