CTOnews.com November 25 news, Canonical recently released Ubuntu 23.04 "Lunar Lobster" Daily Builds to enter the public test phase, and released the ISO image download link.

CTOnews.com learned that Ubuntu 23.04 "Lunar Lobster" began development in late October 2022 with a development cycle of 6 months. Now beginners and application developers can download Daily Builds ISO images uploaded by the tool chain, which appeared on the official server earlier today.

As expected, these Daily Builds images are based on the previous version of Ubuntu, Ubuntu 22.10 (Kinetic Kudu), which was launched on October 20, 2022. This means that the core components of these builds are basically the same as the previous version, and the kernel, desktop environment, and applications are basically the same.

During the six-month development cycle, Ubuntu 23.04 will receive some of the latest GNU / Linux technologies and software, such as the upcoming GNOME 44 desktop environment, the upcoming Linux 6.2 kernel series, and the upcoming Mesa 22.3 graphics stack.

Ubuntu 23.04 "Lunar Lobster" other noteworthy GNU / Linux technologies include the optional GCC 13 system compiler, LLVM 16, the default Python 3.11, GNU Binutils 2.40, GNU C Library 2.37, OpenLDAP 2.6, Go 1.20, and PolicyKit 122.

In addition to Ubuntu desktop and server versions, Kubuntu, Xubuntu, Lubuntu, Ubuntu Unity, Ubuntu MATE, Ubuntu Budgie and Ubuntu Kylin versions of Daily Builds are also released simultaneously.
