CTOnews.com, Nov. 24 (Xinhua)-- the prequel series "Sand Dunes: the Sisters" of the sci-fi movie "Sand Dunes" has now been filmed and will be broadcast on HBO Max, according to Dunenewsnet.

According to reports, "Sand Dunes: sorority" is jointly produced by HBO Max and Legendary Television. The film is currently being filmed in Budapest, Hungary, and is expected to be filmed in Limerick, Ireland. "Sand Dunes: the Sisters" was written by Diane Ademu-John, who co-produced the TV series with Alison Schapker, and Johan Renck will direct the premiere.

CTOnews.com learned that the movie, adapted from Frank Herbert's best-selling science fiction novel, was released simultaneously in mainland China and North America on October 22, 2021, and has now been released on Youku, Tencent, iqiyi, bilibili and other domestic streaming platforms. The Dune 2 movie will be released on November 17, 2023.
