CTOnews.com, November 24 (Xinhua)-- Banana Pi unveiled its next-generation development board, BPI-M6, which follows the same design philosophy as the raspberry pie Raspberry Pi and features NPU and quad-core CPU.

According to reports, the CPU of BPI-M6 consists of four 64-bit Cortex-A73 cores with a frequency of 2.1 GHz and a Cortex M3 core, which is similar to Apple M9 coprocessor and stronger than the CPU of Raspberry pie 4.

CTOnews.com learned that the board carries a GPU of Imagination GE9920, and a 6.75 TOPS NPU, whose CPU, GPU, and NPU are bundled in a package called VideoSmart VS680, equipped with 4GB's LPDDR4 memory and 16GB's eMMC flash memory (up to 64GB), has a Micro SD slot, and the back of the board has an M.2 slot that supports Key E devices.

In addition, the board is equipped with two micro-HDMI interfaces, as well as four USB 3.0ports, gigabit Ethernet ports, 40 GPIO pins and USB-C power interfaces.

Banana Pi has not yet announced the pricing and launch time of BPI-M6, so CTOnews.com partners in need can wait for a wave.
