CTOnews.com, Nov. 24 (Xinhua)-- HBO is fixing an "unable to play" bug Bug encountered by some users in Apple Apple TV's HBO Max app, according to The Verge.

This problem is widespread and seems to occur on all Apple TV 4K running tvOS 16.1 and the latest HBO Max application version 52.50.1 released on November 16th.

Some users find the problem intermittent, while others are unable to stream media content at all without a playback error, although some have found solutions, including forcibly exiting, logging out, reinstalling, or restarting their Apple TV.

Chris Willard, senior vice president of communications at HBO, said they are aware of these issues and are in the process of fixing them, which will be included in the upcoming App update.

CTOnews.com was informed that prior to this, two temporary troubleshooting tips recommended by HBO Max customer support included turning off HDR support (in setting-> video and audio, changing the format to SDR, and disabling matching content, matching dynamic range, and matching frame rate options), and changing the resolution from 4K to 1080p or 720p.
