CTOnews.com, November 24 (Xinhua)-- Technology founder @ Mr revealed today via social media that Apple had planned to launch a new Apple Pencil called "Maker" at its autumn product launch in September, which is expected to cost about $49.

According to the blogger, the stylus does not support voltage sensing and does not need a battery. It uses a chip to extract power from the screen. It is still an active capacitive stylus and even supports iPhone, but it was cut before the release, when the stock reached millions.

If the revelations are true, this cheaper Apple Pencil should be more suitable for iPad 10. CTOnews.com learned that although the first generation Apple Pencil is supported, because the iPad 10 is equipped with a USB-C interface, a new USB-C-to-Apple Pencil converter needs to be used for pairing and charging. The converter is sold separately for 67 yuan.

At present, it is not clear why Apple cut the new entry-level stylus for the first generation of the ▲ Apple Pencil. This is by no means a small number for the stylus accessories market, given the reported stock of more than one million.
